Jeanelle
Account Executive, Toronto
You are bilingual in English and French – is that a requirement for working with clients in Canada?
It's not a requirement, but it's definitely an asset. It helps me to better understand the public relations and communications environment in both English and French Canada, which is very important when working with clients on programs specific to these two unique populations.
How is working for MS&L different from your experiences working with smaller agencies?
As part of a global network, there is a larger pool of knowledge and experience to draw from to not only meet client needs, but to support my personal and professional growth. Working at MS&L also allows me to expand my public relations knowledge and experience outside of my day-to-day clients and accounts by providing me with the opportunity to participate in media campaigns and new business pitches beyond my own practice group.
Why did you choose to join MS&L?
I chose to join MS&L because I felt that the agency had a broad client base that would allow me to further develop my public relations and communications skills. Also, coming from a smaller agency, I felt that a larger agency like MS&L was the next logical step in my career development, and would allow me better understand the agency environment.
How would you describe your co-workers?
My co-workers are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Overall, they possess a broad range of experience in not only healthcare, but consumer and corporate public relations and communications. Working closely together on a daily basis on various accounts allows us to learn from one another to build on our own knowledge and skills to provide the best service to our clients.
