Manning Selvage & Lee's Chicago Office Appoints a New Consumer Practice Leader

Liz Van Lenten, most recently managing director, brand marketing, for Burson-Marsteller's Midwest region, has joined Manning Selvage & Lee’s (MS&L) Chicago office as SVP, consumer practice leader.  Her appointment is effective immediately.

In her new role, Van Lenten will provide senior counsel to the office's consumer clients, including Procter & Gamble, Reynold's Consumer Products, Blistex Inc. and General Mills.  She will also help fuel the office's growth and play a key role in new business development.

Van Lenten has more than 20 years of consumer marketing and brand-building public relations experience with clients in a variety of business sectors, including consumer packaged goods, food and spirits.  In her most recent role at Burson-Marsteller, she was the global client leader for Ross Products and McDonald’s and oversaw the Midwest brand marketing practice team and its clients, including projects for Coca-Cola USA and Unilever (Wisk).  She has also held various senior management and leadership positions with Golin-Harris International, including  executive vice president of the consumer brands group in Chicago, where she and her teams won multiple industry awards for Gerber, McDonald's, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Kellogg's, Energizer, Levi's and Purina, to name a few.  She also developed the agency's client relationship management program and served as a senior member of the steering committee for the global consumer brands practice.

MS&L Chicago's clients include a number of leading consumer, corporate and healthcare brands including Procter & Gamble, General Mills, Reynolds Consumer Products, the Kellogg School of Management and Novartis Consumer Health.  The office also boasts a thriving association marketing practice which includes clients such as the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), the National Roofing Contractors Association and the Cosmetic Surgery Foundation, the education and research arm of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
