Manning Selvage & Lee Wins Global Business for TAQA
Manning Selvage & Lee (MS&L) has been selected as the global communications partner by the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (ADSM: TAQA) to support the company’s global expansion. The $16 billion integrated energy investment company, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE, selected MS&L and Capital MS&L to provide integrated support across corporate communications, investor relations, public affairs, internal communications & integration and digital.
The program MS&L is designing for TAQA will deliver a global communications infrastructure for the business, as well as ‘on-the-ground’ implementation support in its local markets. A key challenge is to assist the company through major acquisitions, while simultaneously building a scaleable communications environment to support the integration of new multi-billion dollar businesses as they are acquired.
“TAQA is a very exciting challenge; the chance to participate from the start in building a global communications infrastructure,” said Stuart Wilson, CEO of MS&L London. “We are an excellent strategic fit for an ambitious company like TAQA. Our approach to integrated communications will ensure that TAQA can scale its communications as the company itself grows, while ensuring that its corporate vision and identity is delivered in a consistent manner to all stakeholders.”
The TAQA win marks a further development in the continuing expansion of MS&L’s corporate team and Capital MS&L’s presence in the Middle East.
“This is a great example of the strength of the combined efforts of MS&L and Capital MS&L,” said Steffan Williams, managing director at Capital MS&L. “By working together we are able to provide a seamless approach to the delivery of corporate, investor relations and public affairs.”
The agreement between MS&L and TAQA commenced at the beginning of September. The immediate focus of MS&L’s program is North America, Europe and the Middle East. This will expand to include the full range of TAQA’s operations including North Africa and Asia over the course of the coming months. The account will be coordinated out of MS&L’s London office.
“The appointment of MS&L as our global communications partner is part of our longer term strategy to become a leading global blue chip energy company,” said Peter Barker-Homek, CEO of TAQA. “By working with MS&L, we will extend our international communications reach and develop best practice communications capabilities to support TAQA’s rapid growth.”
