Kelly Kolhagen Named Managing Director of Manning Selvage & Lee's Detroit Office

Manning Selvage & Lee (MS&L) today announced the appointment of Kelly Kolhagen as managing director of Hass MS&L in Detroit.  She was most recently senior vice president and deputy managing director.  Her appointment is effective immediately.

Kolhagen, who joined MS&L in 2000, will continue to lead the office’s work with General Motors.  She will also work closely with the office’s senior staff to manage and grow the office’s capabilities.

Kelly is a tremendously talented communications professional who is highly regarded in the automotive public relations space,” said Mark Hass, global chief executive officer for MS&L.  “I’m very pleased to have her take on this important role.”

With nearly 30 years of experience in the communications and media industries, Kolhagen has spent the last several years leading teams to develop and implement effective media campaigns to address safety, environmental and advanced technology issues. She joined the agency following a 20-year career in newspapers, including an executive role at The Detroit News. Prior to that, she was a reporter and copy editor at The Flint Journal in Flint, Michigan. There, she won an investigative reporting award and also covered education, consumer issues and suburban government.
