Hass MS&L has been the agency of choice for General Motors for 29 years. With expertise in all aspects of the automotive arena including vehicle engineering; product launches; manufacturing; marketing; internal communications; healthcare; diversity; advanced technology; safety and the environment, it is also one of the leading automotive public relations firm in the United States.

Hass MS&L was created in 2002 when MS&L acquired Hass Associates, a boutique agency based in Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan that specialized in digital mediums and online media analysis. The resulting agency combined unique Internet expertise with traditional public relations savvy.

The agency is tied closely to the automotive industry, not unlike the entire southeastern Michigan region. However, the strategic counsel and tactical execution it provides its clients is not industry-specific. Hass MS&L uses its expertise in corporate and consumer public relations to expand its clientele throughout the region and beyond, with special emphasis on the healthcare, environmental and tourism industries.

During the past few years, Michigan – the automotive capital of the world – has changed considerably. Domestic automakers are grappling with a host of tough issues, including rising health care costs and market share erosion. This has had a rippling effect in the region, affecting automotive suppliers, the housing industry, schools and overall economic health.

Hass MS&L remains focused on helping existing and prospective clients sustain and thrive during the region’s economic hardships.

Its record of accomplishment in providing superior client service, innovation and creativity is evident in the recognition Hass MS&L has received from clients and industry observers alike. Recent awards include the 2006 General Motors Chairman's Award, one of corporate America’s most coveted employee recognition awards, the 2006 and 2003 Bronze SABRE Award for GM corporate speechwriting, 2004 PRWeek Technology Campaign of the Year and Corporate Brand Campaign of the Year Finalists for GM OnStar and 2004 SABRE CSR Certificate of Excellence for OnStar and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for AMBER Alerts.
