Bart de Vries joined Hollander van der Mey/MS&L in 1988. He has proven skills in corporate marketing, branding, reputation and issues management, crisis communications (e.g. product recalls), labor relations and strategic counsel. He also has extensive experience in the creation of international PR campaigns and the production of PR programs for B2B and consumer goods.
Prior to MS&L, De Vries worked at the Corporate Communications Division of Nationale-Nederlanden, the largest insurance company of the Netherlands (now ING Group). Here he was also the department head of Editorial and Advertising Services, where he oversaw all editorial corporate communications productions.
As the co-author of the standard academic text book on PR in the Netherlands and as editor of a series of case books on outstanding PR campaigns, De Vries has been involved in the theoretical and practical development of the public relations profession in the Netherlands. He is also represented in the professional organization of communication professionals in the Netherlands, Logeion, as he is involved in all its program activities for members.
De Vries studied in the United States at the Don Martin School in Los Angeles, CA in the areas of television journalism, television production and movie production. He also worked as a production assistant for various film and television production companies in Hollywood.
