Glenn Osaki
President, Asia
A 20-year veteran of Manning Selvage & Lee, Glenn Osaki is in charge of the agency's Asia operations, which includes offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Tokyo, Hanmer MS&L in India, and a network of 20 affiliates and partner firms in 14 countries across the region. In April 2005, he was profiled by PRWeek as one of the top 10 PR agency regional heads in the world.
Prior to moving to Shanghai in January 2005, Osaki was managing director of MS&L’s Los Angeles office for five years. His Asia experience includes regional management for such clients as Philips, Sunkist, The Home Depot, Johnson & Johnson, Underwriters Laboratories, Dow, Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Diamond Trading Company/DeBeers and Canon. Osaki managed the trade missions of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to Tokyo in November 2004 and to China (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong) in November 2005.
Other key clients he has served include Nestlé, Nike, General Motors, Procter & Gamble, General Mills, Blockbuster Video and Mattel. He has won some three dozen PR industry awards including PRSA Silver and Bronze Anvils, and an IABC Gold Quill. Osaki holds an M.A. in public relations from the University of Southern California, School of Journalism, where he was named Outstanding Graduate. He was also named Outstanding Graduate from the University of California, San Diego, where he received his B.A. in political science.
